Mr. Palandjian is a Senior Advisor of the U.K. based Trinity Group Limited. Trinity Group Limited ("Trinity") is a private investment banking firm established in 1996. Trinity was founded by Edward M. Frazer and the Ford M. Fraker, the current United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, experienced investment bankers with a specialty working throughout the Middle East, Western Europe and the Far East. In 2006, Mr. Palandjian founded Somerset Equity Advisors, LLC, a U.S. based investment management and advisory firm forming a partnership with Trinity to service a combined client roster and develop new business opportunities.

 

Previously Mr. Palandjian spent 15 years as a Principal and Managing Director of the Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation and affiliated companies (Intercontinental). Intercontinental is a Boston based real estate investment advisor with expertise in real estate investment, development, construction management, and asset management. He held positions as the CFO and President of the company and served on both the Executive and Investment Committees; during his tenure the company portfolio grew from approximately $200 million to over $1.4 billion across all property types. Prior to joining Intercontinental, Mr. Palandjian, a Loan Officer Training Program graduate, worked as a Banking Associate at the First National Bank of Boston specializing in the restructuring of distressed debt/loan workouts. 

 

In 2004, Mr. Palandjian was awarded the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in recognition of Boston’s top young business executives.  In addition, he was responsible for the development of the Nine Zero Hotel in Boston, ranked number one in the world by Condé Nast Traveler, 2005 Gold List: The Best by Design.  In 2005, Intercontinental was awarded the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) New England Chapter, Developer of the Year Award. 

 

Mr. Palandjian has been an active member on a number of corporate, healthcare, and not-for-profit boards. He serves on the Board of Trustees at the Belmont Hill School, the Board of Directors of the United States Tennis Association Foundation (USTA Serves) and Board of Directors for the Denis Leary Firefighter Foundation. He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Mount Auburn Hospital and on the Board of the new Institute for Contemporary Art - Boston (ICA) holding a position as a member of the museum’s Exhibitions Committee.  Mr. Palandjian has been a guest lecturer at the Harvard Business School. 

 

Mr. Palandjian was a former Harvard Captain and world-ranked tennis player on the ATP Tour.  He graduated from the Belmont Hill School and earned his BA from Harvard College and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.  He and his wife Dionne have three children.
